CAN modules compitibility

Dear all,

I would like to know if the CAN modules in tms320f28335 (e-CAN) and tms320f28377D (d-can) are compatible.

I assume that since both comply with ISO CAN 2.0B they are phisically compatible. But can de code developed for e-CAN work for D-CAN?

Nuba,

The eCAN and D_CAN modules are not compatible. They use different programming models and have very different sets of registers.

OK.
I understand that i will have to change the code.
But, on a CAN bus point of view, both modules will be able to talk to each other right (since they both accomplish CAN2.0B )?

Yes, both modules should be able to talk to any CAN 2.0B module.
