short address for different service nodes

Ques 1) If two service nodes have the same short address in a network, would it affect the routing tables that different devices in the network would maintain.

Ques 2) If a node changes its short address, will it affect messages delivered to that node.

Hi Vishwanath,

I believe you are using the G3 protocol.

1. It is not possible to have two service nodes use the same address in G3 network. The Base node/Data concentrator should assign unique addresses to each node

2. A node will not/cannot change the short address on it's own. It should be assigned by the base node, during the join process.
