hi,

i am using a TMS320F28027 and because of some problems, i need to know the reset source(WDT or ....).

how can i read the reset source of MCU? is there any register?

Hi,

WDFLAG bit in WDCR register (refer Table 40. Watchdog Control Register (WDCR) Field Descriptions in device document) can be used to check if reset is caused by watchdog.

thank you for quick answering but i tested that bit.
it always return 0.
i'm sure that the watchdog is working and reset my MCU.
is it any problem?

hi again,
i read that link and test my project.
there is a confusing problem.
i change a controlsuit project and see the WDFLAG changing but when i transport that code to my motorware project, it doesn't work. actually the MCU reset by watchdog but the WDFLAG is always 0 .
is there any problem by motorware project?
is there any differences between watchdog in Controlsuit project and motorware project?

Are you running both the project on same hardware setup ? Please note that there is some dependency of this feature on XRSn circuit on board. It's mentioned in the link I provided.

i found it.
reading a WDFLAG (or i think any flag) must done before any operation even initialization.
before this i read the WDFLAG after system initialization but i found that, the mcu write zero to WDFLAG (or other flag bits) during initialization.
SO read WDFLAG before any initialization .
