HRPWM Pin Clarificaton for C2000 F28377xS

Hi I'm working with a C2000 F28377xS device and have successfully enabled HRPWM on 4 of the PWM pins.

I was wondering whether someone could clarify the maximum number of PWM pins on the F28377xS, and which PWM pins support HRPWM.

I read on a similar E2E post, dating back a few years ago that stated, "the A channels of the 4 ePWM modules on the F28027 have the ability to output high resolution PWMs".

The F28377xS pins have a 8 total PWM pins, that support A & B channels, I'm assuming that the condition for the F28027 is the same for the F28377xS. Is this correct?

Thank you for your time.

  • Hi,

On the F28377S device, there are 16 HRPWM channels. The best place to see this is in the datasheet in Table 4-1. All of the EPWM signals with HRPWM capabilities will have a note after them indicating they are HRPWM capable. On this device, it is the A and B channels of EPWMs 1-8.

    Thanks,

    Kris

  • Hi Kris,

Thank you for the clarification and answering my question. I tried finding this information in the C2000 F28377xS Resource manual. I have now realized I need to expand my resources and consult the data sheet more frequently.

    Thank you for your time.
