LAUNCHXL-F28377S: Booster pack mkii not working properly with TMS LAUNCHXL-F28377S.

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28377S

Hi,

I'm using bosster pack makii with LAUNCHXL-F28377S but it is not  working properly even after the code was uploaded successfully. However some programs related to buzzer are working very decent. I don't know if it's due to hardware (i.e. LAUNCHXL-F28377S), tell me if there is any way I can use makii with LAUNCHXL-F28377S, Please help me as soon as possible.

  • Hello,

Can you please be very explicit with what is not working? Can you describe them for us here? Generally, just saying that "it is not working" is not very useful for the forums to help you reach a root cause.

Is this the boosterpack you are referring to? http://www.ti.com/tool/boostxl-edumkii. I have not personally used that boosterpack before, but the LAUNCHXL-F28377S complies with the Boosterpack Standard, so the module should be able to interface. Please compare the GPIO signals and ensure that your GPIO muxing is configured properly for the features that you are attempting to test.

  • Hello,
First of all thank you Mark Labbato for replying, Going more precise I'm not able to use on board accelerometer of www.ti.com/.../boostxl-edumkii. When I upload the example sketch through energia it programs the booster pack without errors but accelerometer is not returning readings, every time it shows x=0 and stops(on serial monitor). after uploading RGB led accelerometer sketch. RGB led remains red whole time. But example sketch for buzzer is working properly. I'm using energia17 as energia18 doesn't give LAUNCHXL-F28377S board in option.

  • I need immediate help please reply if someone can help me.
  • Farooqui,

I am not able to take a look at this today. I should have access to a board tomorrow to test it out.

Do you have an oscilloscope or voltmeter on hand? You can test the analog output of the accelerometer to see if it is working as expected.
Unfortunately energia does not give much of a debug environment as far as I can tell, but you might be able to try to replicate the project in a standard CCS project and debug at the register level.
Do you have another Launchpad you might try this sketch on?

I am working on getting this board to try it out, but I won't have it today.
