TMDSDOCK28335: The device is not working and getting too hot

The experimenter kit is not working suddenly and the processor is getting too hot after connected to PC through usb. What I have to do now. Some small hole like spots are now visible on the processor.

    I am sorry but you probably burned out your processor. I had the same problem once, later I learned that the processor was gone.

    Find a cooler (like an aluminium block + cooling fan), put it on the processor and try to connect your processor with CCS. Be careful you can burn your motherboard of your pc, because the board could demand too many current from your moterboard.

    If you can manage to connect to 28335, first disable all peripherals and check the temperature. If it is cool, enable peripherals one by one in order to learn which one has problem.

    what you had done then. Did they replaced the card or not..its too much pathetic man..We in india struggle to buy these kind of products and when these things get damaged whole of our works get stopped...

    Mine was not the control card, it was a custom board that we produce in our company. So we changed the dsp.

    But I can understand you. You don't have the opportunities of a company. I hope you don't have this kind of problem again.

    sorry about your situation. Well, it seems you have cooked the control card. How did this happen?

    You probably have got some pins short-circuited I am afraid. Try to find out if there are some short circuits (still some open circuits can cause heating up). You might need to order a new kit as soon as possible as it takes time.

    Be careful about the above situation where you had your card burnt to avoid it happening again.

    No man, I have handelled it with very much care. The only thing I doubt is I have used a external power supply of 5 volt any make it running it through flash for arround one hour.
