TIDM-DELFINO-ETHERCAT: F28379D controlCARD EMIF problem.

Hi Champs,

I use F28379D controlCARD and Ccard DaughterCard to evaluate ET1100 EtherCAT funciton.

When I set SPI format, everything works well, but it fail to work when I use EMIF format for EtherCAT communication. The software stops and I get wrong dtest_data, please refer to the picture below.

Is there anything else I have to take care to evaluate EMIF function on F28379D controlCARD? Please advise your idea, thanks for your help in advance.

    Luke,

    there are three things you need to make sure you did before switching the PDI interface to EMIF.

    1.> Did you program the proper bin file that you get from TI Design SW folders to the device EEPROM. The EEPROM configuration is different for SPI and EMIF.

    2.> Flip the switches SW1 on the DaughterCard to choose EMIF

    3.> Choose the proper build configuration (ControlCard + EMIF) for the PDI HAL application in CCS and rebuild.

    Thanks for response.

    I fixed this problem, it is due to the high density EMIF connector doesn't contact very well, so it fails to communicate.
