CCS/TMS320F28377S: Could not read RAM and Flash after lock the device with password.

Hello MCU Team,

One of the MCU users has a application problem with TMS320F28377, I help him creat this post. Below is his question description:

Custoemr cann't read the RAM and Flash afte lock the device with password now, the program would run away and couldn't debug on CCS once he sent the read Flash order. And he declared that this operaing should be feasible in the past without unlock the device. So he suspected that if any changesto the Secure encryption block or version update to this part. Now, he has to unlock the device then the read RAM and Flash order could be excuted normally. All in all, he want to read Flash and debug on CCS with the device locked by password.

Could anybody know this and give your suggestion, thanks in advance.

Hi Ryan,

We would need the security setting info which they have programmed on this device to answer this query better. Can you ask him to send the snapshot of "Zone Select Block" space? We don't need password values so he can remove that from the snapshot.

Hi Vivek,

Thanks Vivek, customer solved his problem by inputing the security setting info before reading RAM and Flash. Is this a new requirement of this part? customer was sured that there had some changes to the security block.

Hi Ryan,

Glad to know that issue is resolved.

Yes, security architecture has changed on this device but providing password to access secure content is same. I am still not clear on full detail of the issue customer has faced.
