CCS/TMS320F28335: Data logging using F28335 experimenter kit - write directly to file on PC?

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello

I have been running an experiment which is controlled by F28335 experimenter kit.

The experiment runs for about a week each time and data needs to be logged constantly. This is 100s of thousands of measurements and there isn't enough memory on the F28335 to store it all. I have been rearranging the memory to get more space and storing the data in an array, and then manually copying the array from code composer into a text document.

HOWEVER: this is really tedious, and CCS also seems to crash if I leave it open too long (every 24hours), and sometimes it cannot reconnect to the F28335 without having to completely switch everything off, and the data and experiment is ruined.

Is there a way to write directly to a text file on the PC I'm using? And through the USB cable I'm using to program from CCS?

I log 100 data points every 2 seconds.
