  • Hi Marcus,

    Can you please give some more details about what the issue is on your end?

    Sean
  • Actually very simple I bought a launchpad, in the past I used already the CC6, so I just followed the recourse explorer, example LP 377S and got perfect compilation. Then next step is activate the debugger, immediate you get the two red lines telling the invalid memory......
    Running the program, end up in very unreadable behavior. It is also not possible to change any GPIO in the register window.
  • Hello

    Are you using the latest F28377S example from C2000Ware? If not, please try the one there.
    Additionally, are you able to connect to the device without loading an example? Is the launchpad switches set to "wait boot"?

    Best regards
    Chris
  • Thanks but no thanks,
    I installed all latest options available, but now nothing is working any more. I cannot get any response on CC6 or energia any more. But all old things are working still fluent. I have using TI 2000 products for more than ten years now.
    Conclusion;
    The hardware is the top of what you can get for certain price levels.
    The software is a pain in the bud, it is terrible to change or up or downgrade to other MPU or whatever extensions. Beautiful price competition AFE are just toooooo impossible to consider. There are Chinese less performing solutions following, but the implementation works. So why is nice TI offers going as second, because the main support is not professional. Why you have to study every time at least or one week before you find the needle in the haystack. Just give some working base example, with all necessarily to download. So it will be more economically to justify. When your clients are suggesting your products on scheduled time base, it is more important to at least show the feasibility, if not they are forced to take inferior bases that are just for grasp.

    Conclusion;
    The hardware is the top of what you can get for competitive price levels.
    The software always is a pain in the bud, it is terrible to change or up or downgrade to other MPU, even close familiar selections, or whatever extensions. Beautiful price competition AFE are just toooooo impossible and complex to consider. There are Chinese less performing solutions concurring, but their implementation works at first trail. So why nice TI 's offers going as second, because the main support is not professional to bulky not even cloud supported. Why you have to study every time at least or one week before you find the needle in the haystack in the confusing irrelevant TI support. Just give some working base example, with all necessarily to download, that can be reinstalled as many time needed for experimental success. So it will be more economically to justify the TI selection you opt for. When you are your clients suggesting TI products on strict scheduled time base, it is more important to, at least show the feasibility, if not you are forced to take inferior options that immediate are presentable with working demos that are just for grasp.

    I apologize that you are having trouble, I fully understand how frustrating it is when you're just trying to get started and nothing is working.

    I hooked up a F28377S LaunchPad (all boot pins set to ON) and used the "Example_28377SLaunchPad" project from C2000Ware 1.00.02.00 with CCSv6 and was able to connect/run without issue. You'll want to make sure you are using the target config CCXML that is included with that demo project (technically it should be the default active when you import the project).

    If you are now having issues just connecting, you'll want to run "Test Connection" from the target configuration file and then use this wiki as reference for resolving: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Debugging_JTAG_Connectivity_Problems

    A new workspace and/or CCS install on a different computer tends to help debug what the problem is as well.
    Once you can connect to the device again, then provide details of what you're seeing so I can assist you.

    Best regards
    Chris
