DRV812 GUI working but not instaspin

Inside the DRV812 development kit - USB stick came two GUI softwares: one of which was DRV8312GUIv5, which works perfectly and runs the kit's motor. The other however, InstaSPIN-BLDC_GUI_DRV83xx_v104 does not seem to run the kit's motor at all. All else the same.

I am using PMSM sensorless mode to move the motor. I would like to use InstaSPIN-BLDC_GUI_DRV83xx_v104 GUI such that I can control the speed using %duty cycle.

Babak,

For the GUI .exe to work it needs to have the appropriate binary .out programed to the device. The standard GUI is working for you because the standard GUI .out is pre-programmed on the MCU of the controlCARD.

To use the InstaSPIN-BLDC GUI .exe first program the InstaSPIN .out onto the controlCARD, power cycle, then try again.

You can use UNIFLASH to program the .out
