eQEP encoder positive values reading

Hi,

My encoder read just the positive values, once I change the direction from zero : the encoder overflfow to the max value.

I'd like to read the negative value from my eEQP encoder.

any suggestions!

Hi Sanet,

Are you using the direction count mode or quadrature mode of EQEP?
Either way, if there is an overflow or underflow occurring in the position counter there is a flag set indicating the same.
An interrupt can also be enabled (QEINT reg) under these conditions.
Module does not provide positive and negative values directly.

Hi Sanet,

That's fine. I think you still have to use the flags or interrupt to determine the overflow and underflow conditions.
