LAUNCHXL-F28069M: proj_lab11e cannot work well

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8305, MOTORWARE

Hi Champs,

My customer is testing proj_lab11e using Teknic_M2310PLN04K and F28069M launchpad+DRV8305 BoostXL. The motorware version is motorware_1_01_00_18. They found motor cannot startup with high current. The startup phase current scope capture is as follows. And also the fault LED will be lighted on. The wire connection are alright, and the motor's hall sensor is OK.

Would you kindly help to check the reason?

Thanks.

BR,

Young

  • 1. Make sure that the phase order value of gHall_PwmIndex[8] match the hall sensor order of motor.
    2. Set a right initial value of gHall_PwmDuty for Hall startup state since the hall startup is a current open loop control and only a speed close loop, and need to tune the Kp and Ki of speed PI regulator.

  • Hi Yanming,

You are correct. I swap 2 phase cable, and now the startup work well.

But I found the motor would be vibrate from BLDC to FOC, and from scope, look the algorithm cannot get the correct angle with high current.

I am still learning this solution for share Ebike customer.

    Thanks,

    BR,

    Young
