Typos in Halcogen generated files for the TMS470M

    Greetings, this is not so much a discussion as a bug report. I noticed large numbers of typos in the Halcogen generated files for the TMS470M using version 1.00.00 (including a functional defect with wrong register addresses for sci in sci.h). I upgraded to the latest 3.00.00 released 1/20/2012, and confirmed that the functional defect was fixed, but the following typos in the autogenerated files are still present (a few others were fixed though!), since I have generated a list I thought I would pass it along:

    /** @file sci.c
    *   @brief SCI Driver Inmplmentation File
    *   @date 15.January.2012
    *   @version 3.00.00
    *

    Inmplmentation -- this one effects many .c files. :)

    Thank you, Zia for the report.  We will enter a ticket to ensure that fixing these typos are included in a future release of the tool.

    Thanks! Can you point me to a change history for the Halcogen tool which would highlight other bug fixes between 1.00.00 and 3.00.00 so I can check for other issues we haven't discovered yet?

    Zia,

    The HALCoGen home page includes a link to the release notes at the top.  There you will find the list of new features/bug fixes as well as the list of known issues.  I hope this helps.

    Hi Brian, I have looked again and cannot find the Halcogen Release Notes.

    I looked here: http://www.ti.com/tool/halcogen

    I also searched the forum and only found other requests for the same, is it possible this is not a publicly published document?

    Thanks!

    Zia

    Hi Zia!

    I have attached the release notes that come with HCG 3.00.00.

    0211.HALCoGen 3_00_00 Release Notes.pdf

    I found them on the HalCoGen start page:

    Please let me know if you do not see this link in your version.

    Have a great day!

    Brian

    Hi Brian, thank you, yes I found the document now from the Halcogen Start Page.

    These release notes for 3.00.00 simply document the changes in "this release" which I assume is from 2.00.00 - 3.00.00? Is it possible to also get a list of changes between 1.00.00 and 2.00.00? I am interested in the complete set from 1.00.00 to 3.00.00. Thanks!

    Zia
