Everbody know TMX is bad quality and specification version of tms570 series.
And i have a university project about airplane.
I want to use tms570ls3137. But i cant find tms570ls3137. I cant use TMX in airplane. I need TMS version.
There is no TMS at Farnell, digikey, mouser. I call all my country distrubitors and they have TMX version.
Finding TMS version is very important for my project. Anybody can buy a TMS version of tms570ls3137 ? If yes, where ?
Best Regards, ElectronicMan
TMS products indicate that the product has completed qualification testing. TMX products are simply those which are available before the product has completed the qualification process. This does not necessarily indicate any difference in product specification, performance, or quality.
Tests are important...I dont risk the plane. Maybe mcu's one of the untested modules can be broken...I need TMS.
TMX material should be usable for development without issue. TI recommends that any production usage should only be done using TMS material. Unfortunately if the product qualification is not complete, then no TMS product is available.
TMS570LS3137 Rev B will be qualified by end of September. At that point customer can order TMS devices which will have 6-8 week lead time.
TMX570LS3137 devices have test coverage on each module and are tested across temperature today.

I sent a mail to Texas Instruments' distributer. They said TI recommend TMX version. And they said TI have no longer support for TMS version.
I think TMS and TMX is the same MCU but different production. So you can support both of them not one of them. I'am confused by TI ! I need help.
TMS are qualified parts. They are same die as TMX.
As said before, from a test stand point, there is no difference.
Again TMS parts will be available for order in September 2012. Your distributor is wrong by saying "TI no longer support TMS".
