Hi All,
I think that I have some code which is running LBIST and MBIST on startup. I am trying to verify the timings to make sure that the micro is behaving as expected. How long (assuming an 80MHz clock) would you expect MBIST, and LBIST to take? is there a table or reference I can work it out from?
thanks,
Phil
Phil,
You can find the information at page 30 and 31 of the TMS470MF04207/TMS470MF03107 device spec.
Thanks and regards,
Zhaohong
Hi Zhaohong,
thanks for the pointer...
do you know what clock speed was used to generate the timing graph shown on page 31?
Is there a table showing the times for the memory tests?
It is 40 MHz STC clock.
from my previous post:
"Is there a table showing the times for the memory tests?"
The data sheet doesn't appear to quote times or current consumption info for the MBIST functions.
Any ideas?
You can find the following information from TMS470MF04207/TMS470MF03107 device spec.
(1) LBIST timing can be found in Figure3-3 on page 30. Pay attention to fine prints below the graph.
A. A single LBIST interval is 158 STC CLK cycles in duration, excluding clock transition timing of 20 cycles.B. This device has 555 total intervals
(2) MBIST timing can be found in Table 3-11 on page 31.
(3) Current consumption information can be found in page35. ICCIOR is combination of core and I/O current when internal Vreg is enabled.

hi Zhaohong,
Thanks for your patience! I see that the user guide and data sheet have recently been updated on the website - these have the information in. The previous version did not.
