Hi,

Regarding the F021 FLASH API for RM46xx series,
we have nice documents but I couldn't find a actual sample code or projects
as we have for C2000 Devices.

Could you please let me know if there is any sample Projects in CCS/IAR
on FLASH API for RM46L430.

Hi,

One more question about the flash programming of RM46L430,

Is it possible to write few bytes of data into an unused memory
while running the programming?. Something like in-system programming in MSP430.

And is it required to erase complete Bank even if we want to update a
few bytes of data?

The TI Flash API code works fine. I used it in a project for saving parameters, have not tried to use it for programming firmware though.

I am trying with the FLash API source on RM42L432 launchpad, but unsuccessful.
I am not able to write the data on Flash by downloading the program to SRAM.

I have modified the Linker command file to run the code on RAM.

VECTORS (X) : origin=0x08000000 length=0x00000100
STACK (RW) : origin=0x08000100 length=0x00000500
RAM (RW) : origin=0x08000600 length=0x00007000

.text > RAM
.const > RAM
....

In an other case I tried to download the program to FLash and then copy the
program to RAM and then write the Flash.. in this case I am able to write only
secotors 0 to 2 but not able to write above sector 3.

I t would be helpful if there is any reference project.

Please let me know if you have any sample projects on CCS or IAR.
I am not able to write a proper working Flash programming program.

Hi Kummi,

Pls find a sample API from one of our flash experts which is picked from the following thread.

Attached is a code snippet which provides a simple example of performing write, read and erase operations on Bank1.

The example code performs the following steps
1. Programs 32 bytes to Bank 1 (Start Address : 0x00200000)
2. Reads back first 4 bytes and compare with the data programmed to see if it matches.
3. Erases the same sector (Start Address : 0x00200000)

NOTE: Kindly create your own configuration and just use the code snippet targeting your device as the example project from the above thread is targeted for RM57.
