TMS570LS317 - NHET1 Timer - Ouput Pin Assignment issue

Hi,

Currently we are using your TMS5703137CZWTQQ1 (337 Pin device) on a project.

We have Generated a PWM using the NHET1[31] timer. Default output for this is at ball J17.

We need the PWM at ball W9 and have successfully multiplexed to that location.

The issue we have is that the PWM is still present at its default location ball J17. We cannot remove this function from this ball. We need to assign J17 as an input.

Is there a way to unmask the NHET1[31] from ball J17, after it has been multiplexed to ball W9.

Sorry for the delayed response.

Can you pls clarify on what you are intending to do with J17 a little more in detail ?

Here are my understandings so far

a) Ball J17 pin is dedicated to NHET1[31] and I assume you do not need that to be driving out on that ball
b) secondly you want to use that input coming from J17 and feed to NHET1[31]

INPUT <----- J17
NHET1[31] I/O
OUTPUT -----> W9

The terminal J17 is permanently assigned to N2HET1[31], and there is no other function sharing this ball. So this terminal will always output the signal on N2HET1[31] when this signal is configured as an output.
