How to mapping the peripheral error to ESM?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS1227

Dear TI member,

I am using TMS570LS1227. Also, I am studying safety manual.

However, I have one question. How to mapping the peripheral error to ESM?

For example, in page 99 of safety manual,

If  we detect an error by PWM1B, which channel of  ESM will be indicated?

I can't find the corresponding channel to mapping to PWM error.

  • Hello,

As stated in the table, the error response is software dependent.  The ESM provides error indication for certain hardware based diagnostic while this is a user implemented software diagnostic.  You can review all ESM channel mapping in the device data sheet.

    Best Regards,
