Hello,

I am using TI TMS570ls20216, This was my first expereince in using this controllers. Firstly I thank you all for the kind support I got from  TI Forum but it was not  worth to solve my issue . As I feel I have no issues with the controller but using a BLACKHAWK 100 V2 Emulator is more complex. I had been thorugh the posts but nothing helped me. As my project is getting delayed due to this issue. My problem is,  I am using CCS 6.1v  and I want to  program the controller using black Hawk 100. Here comes my problem I have used default configuration setting after creating the project as show in the figure below.

.GEL files missing For ICEPick and Dap. Could you kindly suggest me a soulution ASAP.

    Hello:

    You can find GEL files within the CCS installation folder (C:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\emulation\gel). For your specific device look for tms570ls202x6s.gel

    My problem is not exactly about finding GEL files I have few question to ask for the controller i am using TMS570ls20216

    1. I am using ccs 6.0.1 for programming the controller is it best version for the controller or its should be updated.

    2. I was able to flash the code to controller through USB XDS 100v2 before updating CCS. now i am unable to  flash and gives me an error.stated below

    3. How to configure the target? are that the best configurations to the controller or any others please do specify 

    4. Does the ICEPICK has some gel file that to configure the board.?

    Is it possible to share your CCS project to take a look? I just tried to flash a TMS570LS20216 device using CCS 6.1 and it worked just fine. I would need to take a look at your project. I'm attaching my target configuration file.

    Hello:

    I just tried your project and it works just fine in my setup without any modification. I am able to build, program and run your code.

    You mentioned it worked before with an older CCS version and stopped working when you moved to 6.1. Have you tried going back to the previous CCS version? Is it still working? I just want to discard this is a hardware/connection problem that just coincided with your change of CCS version.

    Thanks for the reply . So now i would like to try one method by making the controller go in to ISP mode. Is it possible for me to enter in to ISP mode and erase the flash. If there is a soultion could you please help me out . Thank you.

    You can try to erase using Uniflash (www.ti.com/.../UNIFLASH)

    I tried to do it with the older version of the CCS which worked before, it still shows the same error.

    I did try now that doent work either.....Could you suggest me ??
