Sir,

I have JTAG XDS100V2 emulator which i bought , Its JTAG 4th pin giving the 3.3V And 5th Pin giving the GND signal. but as per standard JTAG connector 4th pin has the GND And 5th Pin has the 3.3V for my CAN node which I made . I am using the TMS570LS0432 IC for making my CAN node i am trying to program it via XDS100V2 but because of the JTAG pin giving the above voltages as i mention above and i made opposite setting as used the same connection as per standard JTAG then how can I connnect it with JTAG XDS100V2 emulator.

Actually i followed the same schematic given in the HERCULES LAUNCHPAD TMS570LS04x I removed the emulator circuit.But because of above problem i am not sure how to program the CAN node. Please guide me to program the node.

there I had checked on that board also.

How can i rectify the problem.

Rocky,

Where is the connector above located? Is it on your XDS100v2? or is it what you put on your target board?

What error are you getting when you have a problem? (Error message from CCS?)

In addition - the JTAG header on the launchpad is the target-side. It's not really meant to be used to debug *another* board.

It's intended in case you want to debug the chip on the launchpad with a faster emulator like XDS200.

Hi Anthony,

I got the same issue with Rocky, there is no 3.3V on PIN5, here is what I get from CCS after connecting to F28034 device.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -180 @ 0x0)
The controller has detected a target power loss.
The user must turn-on or connect the power supply for the target.
(Emulation package 6.0.14.5)

Can you please share your comment about this?
