TMS570LS3137: EMIF and GIO configuration

Hello,

If EMIF is enabled on TMS570LS3137 and some of the EMIF pins are used. Could you configure these pins as GIO?

EMIF_nCS[0]/RTP_DATA[15]/N2HET2[7]

EMIF_nCS[3]/RTP_DATA[14]/N2HET2[9]

EMIF_ADDR[21]/RTP_CLK

or will EMIF use all of the pins?

    Hi Yue,

    You can use those pins as GPIO pins.

    1. Use PINMMRn to select N17 and K17 as NHET, then use those 2 pins as GIO

    2. Use PINMMRn to select C17 as RTP, then use it as GIO

    Your application may not use all the EMIF signal to interface your external memory (SRAM, SDRAM, NOR, NAND, etc). Not all EMIF pins can be used as GPIO, please refer to the tables in chapter 4 (TMS570LS3137 datasheet).
