Hello,

We are using TMS570LS3137 in one of our projects. We are generating code for this from Halcogen.

We require Legacy COFF format of .out file. Currently we are using CCSv6.2.0 and compiler TIv 15.12.3 LTS. When I selected COFF format, it said, this version of CGT is not supported and I have to install ARM CGT v5.2.x. I installed ARM CGT v 5.2.x and now i am using the compiler TI v 5.2.9. Now I am able to select Legacy COFF format but getting following error:

"Option --float_support=VFPv3D16 is not valid without --abi=eabi Option --float_support=VFPv3D16 is not valid without --abi=eabi ".

Can you please help me in fixing the issue so that i can get Legacy COFF image?

VFPv3D16 is only supported in eabi. Use --float_support=vfplib if you must use COFF.

Hello Bob,

Thanks for your reply, we have few FPU instructions like FMXR FMDRR etc. When I change option to vfplib, getting an error "Need FPU or Neon". I think I am missing something. Can you help me with that and we require FPU.

One more question is can I use rtsv7R4_A_be_tiarm9.lib as runtime support library as others are eabi libraries for TMS570LS3137.

There is no support for the hardware VFP in COFF. You must use EABI or not use any of the VFP instructions.

Yes, rtsv7R4_A_be_tiarm9.lib is the correct COFF runtime support library for TMS570LS3137.
