Hi,

i have a tricky question for you.For a certification a customer of mine needs the following information:

  • The product service experience of the device;
  • The safety applications the MCU has been used for so far (e.g. brake systems);
  • The Safety Manual specifically for the EP version (I found only that one related to the “non-EP” version);
  • Something showing how TI captures and maintains the list of errata and publishes it, and something showing that the rate for publishing of new errata decreases with the time (this will show the level of maturity of the device).

Can you provide this info?

    I will try to answer your questions.
    We do not have a "safety manual" specific to the EP device. There was some misunderstanding, and we are currently investigating what it will take to include the EP device in the safety certification. It is my understanding that the only differences between devices is with packaging. We use same silicon and design.
    I am not certain the method used by commercial to capture errata and publish. However, the High reliability group only has a single silicon version released, and we share same errata document as the commercial and automotive teams.

    I will check with our Marketing teams to see if we have specific heritage for the EP versions that can be shared.
