Part Number: MSP432P401R

Hi,

I would like to program my LaunchPad via boot loader. Could anybody describe exactly the steeps I need to do without missing any details.

Kind regards,

Andrei

  • Hello Andrei,
I would recommend the following documentation:

    www.ti.com/.../slau622d.pdf
    www.ti.com/.../slau655c.pdf

    and link:

    e2e.ti.com/.../538878

Please let me know if this does not answer your questions.

    Regards,
    Chris

    Hello Chris,
Actually, I already did this. Read this two and seen slaa450d, slaa659c, slaa704, slau573, slau690d.
I have a problem running MSPBSL scripter. It always fails on MODE P4xx UART 9600 COM6 PARITY line.
It looks like I miss something. This is the reason I asked for TI's support. So if you can give me a short explanation, sort of :
Step 1: Connect LaunchPad to PC
    Step 2: .....
    and so on.
I believe this sort of document exists somewhere in TI and if not could be written in several minutes. Tons of users would say you thanks on this.
More on this, how could I prepare the HEX-file for programming?

After understanding how to flash the lanchpad, my next step shall be to do a custom bootloader.
I already had a MSP432BSL_1_00_01_00, I can load it to MSP432 but cannot run/debug it in CCS.
So if you has some ideas on this issue, please share it with me.
    Kind regards,
    Andrei

I am not entirely sure that I understand the request for debugging the BSL in CCS once the BSL has been loaded through the scriptor. It is possible for the application code to envoke the BSL and possibly step through the assembly, but no symbol information would be available because the BSL object was downlowded via the BSL and not the in the context of the CCS project.
