Do you guys have any MSP430-supporting IDE (CCS or IAR) installed? the installation usually prepares the Launchpad driver as well. If so, Windows might automatically and somewhat silently installs & configures the driver for your LaunchPad. You can verify this by going into Device Manager and search for the COM port under the name "MSP430 Application UART".

Alternatively, if you are certain no existing drivers are present on your system, grab the driver files directly from this package. http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/slac489.

When first connecting the kit to the USB port, Windows should prompt for a driver installation, redirect to the files above.

      Regards,

      Dung

      Hi Dung,

I could not find any driver files in Slac498 as you stated. Can you make sure that is the correct package?

      Thanks,

      David

Maybe they have been removed from this package during the last 3 months? After all, it is the capsense library package. So it should only contain the capsense library and not a LaunchPad installer.

Actually that's the link to the cap touch library.

Here's the link to the BoosterPack source/driver/doc package:

      http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/slac490

Here is the product folder of the kit, which contains more links for cap touch specific items.

       Regards,
