I thought that CCS v5.2 has support for all MSP430 based products. But the support info on the CC430F513X is contradicting.

On the CC430F613X and CC430F513X pages it states to use CCS v5.

In CCS v5.2 it show that it supports CC430F513Xand compiles and runs (then crashes or behaves erratically ...).  Currently my development is standing still.

In the release notes of CCS v5.1 it shows support for all CC430 but the CC430F513X is omitted; is it the only CC430 series not supported.

Support for the CC430F614x, F514x and F512x series...

A further update it seems to be a compiler problem, pointed the project in CCSv5 to the v3.3.3 compiler in the CCSv4.2 install directory and got the project working.

Would be nice to know why the CC430F513X have not been supported in the latest compiler releases, is it going EOL?

      compiler CCS CC430 CC430F513X EOL

I'd rather say they discovered a bug in the compiler that makes it non-funcitonal for this device, so to not delay the new compiler release (for several other reasons), they disabled the official support fo this one. And the next version may (or may not) support it.
