Launchpad external powersupply

Hello,

Is it possible to the supply the launchpad externally by J4 or J6 using 3,3V. (after removing VCC jumper from J3).

And using the application UART and programming/debugging the device via USB emulation.

This because the emulation circuit is supplied by 3,6V.

     Yes but provide some circuit on emulator side to protect RX and TX from be powered before emulator from target side. This can cause parasitic bulk thyristor to fire on both side where powered last and burn out emulator or target or both in the worst case.
