I'm using the MSP430F5438AIPZ. Since I have a problem to connect the on board 3.3V supply that is used to the microcontroller, can I alternatively connect and external 3.3V PS (the PS GND will be connected to the MCU GND) so the VCC 3.3V will be supplied to the JTAG emulator externaly (instead of direct supply of the VCC 3.3V from the MCU's on board 3.3V supply)?
Thanks
Moshe

Do I understand it correctly that you want to connect a 3.3V voltage supplied by an external PS to Pin 4 of the JTAG header of the Debugger?
Which Debugger do you use? Is it the MSP-FET430UIF?
