I'm using MSP430F2616 with 4MHz crystal as XT2. No other crystal is available on board. My code is working fine with it (see below). Now for some reason I want to run my MCU on higher frequency (for other application, using same board, without changing any component).

Is there any facility available in MSP430F, from where I can increase my clock to 8, 12 or 16 MHZ?
MCU from other manufacturer uses PLL to boost clock frequency, I didn't find such facility in used MCU.
I also read section regarding DCO, but doubt that it will fulfill my requirement and How?
