Nice one :)
Anyway this information stand in plain sight, tools web page:
In the 1950s, Edwin Land demonstrated that you can get the sensation of the entire spectrum of hues with only two colors (narrow bands of 579 nm and 599 nm light).
Now-a-days, there are other ways to see all kinds of colors with monochrome. Lots of people did that Last Sunday.
My grandmother once did have such a filter for her old B/W TV set. Blue on top (for the sky), yellow in the middle and green (for the grass) on the bottom. Did perfectly fit the type of movies she preferred to watch.
We had a hard time persuading her to accept a real color TV.
The suggestion of using a color filter immediately came in mind when I read the question. In fact, some 'color' LCDs do exactly this. Different areas of the LCD, serving a different purpose, are equipped with a diffrent color filter. Works well for LCDs with inverse display (those which are black by default).
