msp gang programmer error 32

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F123, MSP-GANG

I am trying to program an msp430f123 with the msp gang programmer at first I was getting blank check errors. I then updated the programmer to the latest firmware and now I'm getting error 32 wrong MCU. Any suggestions on what to look at.

  • Hi Vince,

Can you please provide some more details about your setup? This will help us to diagnose your issue.

    • Are you using your own custom board, or a TI target board?
      • If it's a custom board, please provide all information about all components on the JTAG/SBW lines.
      • A piece of the schematic is best, or at least describe what pins on the MSP connect to what pins on the JTAG header, and any additional components used or connected to the pins.(resistors, caps, etc)
    • If you are using the MSP-GANG GUI, please provide screenshots showing the main screen of the MSP-GANG GUI and what settings are used, as well as a screenshot of the Memory options window?
    • If you try using another device, or a different piece of code, do you get the same results?
    • Please provide a screenshot of the error message or detailed error message listing.

    Regards,

  • Hello,

I'm using Gang430.dll to program 8 circuits with interface SBW but msp-gang programmer gets error 32. If I switch the programer with other exactly equal with same software, same connections,... doesn't gets me any error, works ok.
I programmed the 8 circuits with the first programmer using the 'MSP-GANG Programmer' software and works correctly.
Any ideas on what could be the problem?
    Thank you

  • Hi raul,

I saw your post yesterday on the end of another thread, and I split it into its own thread. Typically we like to make a new thread for a new issue/support request instead of posting on the end of an older issue.

Your post and my initial response/questions for clarification are here: http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/p/378493/1332226.aspx#1332226
