I upgraded IAR workbench to 6.0.2. I am using FET-Pro430 v3.1. In debug mode, IAR workbench shows a pop-up window to upgrade the firmware in the TI box. The debug mode will exist if I click on no. The TI box is upgraded and the debug mode works well. Now, when I click on fet-pro430 v3.1 to flash the firmware, I see a pop-up window message to upgrade the firmware in the box. I click yes and I am able to flash the firmware. The next time I debug using IAR, I again have to upgrade the jtag box. To resolve this, I upgraded FET-Pro430 to 3.2 and this resolved the above issue.
However, after a day, FET pro430 would not connect at all and flashing would fail. I changed the box, the device, the USB cable and even the flex. I then moved back to v3.1 and I could flash the firmware but now I am in the loop of firmware upgrades in the box like before.
Has anyone seen this issue ?
