I have a mac book pro running the latest osx, vmware 7.0, ccs 6.0.1.00040 and a fully up to date windows 8. The msp430 works fine when connected to other windows native computers, so i know the device works. The problem I am having is I get "Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found" whenever I try to debug my program.
So after reading some other forums I looked into my device manager. I do see the msp430 under usb composite id with hardware id "USB\VID_0451&PID_F432&REV_0105, USB\VID_0451&PID_F432". But it does not show under com ports, until I unplug it then it flashes msp430 under a random com number for a second.
I have rebooted, windows, vmware and the entire osx. I have also tried reinstalling ccs and the drivers for the msp430. I have also tried multiple usb cables and both usb ports on my computer. Under windows device remover it does give me the option to safely remove the "MSP-FET430UIF"
