sup guys, I have been searching through the net for this problem but to no avail. When I installing CCS6 or IAR( whatever the most recent version), program installs fine but strangely but the virtual drivers ( com ports) dont install. I do not see them in the device manager. When I plug the EXPMSP430G2xxx launchpad, the device manager only picks up mspfet430uif instead of the URAT driver. I have done multiple installs of each program, a safe boot install, a system restore before I had installed the first program (which was css6) then tried to install IAR (which didn't work). I did try the MSP430ware but that didn't install the drivers. I did try installing IAR on a different machine with Win7 which is the same as my system, it works perfectly and detects the board properly. The virtual drivers are installed on that system.
Has anyone else gotten this problem? How do I fix this?
