Hey everyone.
I have IAR EW MSP430 5.2. Currently I am facing some problem with my FET430UIF. I cannot go into debugging mode. It gives me " failed to initialize error". I have tried all possible things that I have come across, downgrading the FET430UIF and then letting the IAR update it itself. Still face the issue. I have a MSP-TS430M64 kit that I am testing on. For some reason "Lite FET-Pro430 Elprotronic" is able to use the FET430UIF to download the code/erase the controller but the IAR EW fails to communicate with the debugger to get into debugging mode. I am stuck at this problem for a few days. I have 2 FET430UIF both FAIL to work with IAR EW but work flawlessly with Elprotronic utility. Can someone please provide a valid and tested solution for this problem?
Please note don't suggest me to upgrade to the latest IAR, my employer is not gonna spend a dime on buying upgrades, his reason being the FET430UIF worked flawlessly with this very IAR. I remember seeing him using this setup but for some magical reason I am facing this trouble. I don't want to resort to using Elprotronic utility because that does not provide debugging capabilities. I have Win 7 32 bit if that is of any help. Also in the project options the ability to switch between JTAG 4 wire and Spy wire are greyed out, incase if it's of any help.
