Adaptive Lightning system in Automobiles,

Dear All,

I am working on a research funded project  on Adaptive Lightning system in Automobiles, ( TI Reference Design  “SPRUHP3 – July 2013” ). We are using two boards TMDX470MF066HDK for Master control and MSP430F2272 or MSP430F1612 for slave control   and are likely to use  Embedded Coder (Matlab-Simulink)to code both master and slave. I have following queries to answer:

1.      Are the support packages of MATLAB and simulink availble for these boards selected. 

2.       Is any other board more suitable than the specified boards that can work better with the Embedded coder and satisfy  requirements.

Requirements for Master board-TMDX470MF066HDK

               * CAN 

               *2 LIN Port Support.

 Slave requires- MSP430F2272 

               * LIN ports

               * DRV8823 drivers to drive  two stepper motors.

3. Licensed tool chain support for CAN-LIN programming is provided with the HDK or what is the tool set required for CAN-LIN communication.

4. Software provided for the package?

5. Are the boards robust enough for development work.

 Kindly help me with your answers.
