SetUp for MSP430 Controller

 Hi,

I am using MSP430F149 of MSP430 controller series.The PCI dongle is available for it but the setup/Workbench is not available.

Kindly guide us where I can find suitable workbench.

    Which PCI-dongle and which workbench do you mean?

    Do you need an IDE? If so, try IAR Embedded Workbench or Code Composer Studio. Or do you have a dongle (USB/LPT) for the PC that belongs to one of those (or other) IDE?

    Yeah we need an IDE, if IAR Embedded Workbench is present for MSP430F149 controller can you please share the link where the software setup for the same is available.

    Below is the snapshot of the Dongle i.e. the License for compiling the IDE.

    But if you have a dongle, this one will probably be for one MCU-related compiler variant, i.e. ATMEL AVR or MSP430 or ...

    Maybe I'm wrong, but as far as I remember it was handled that way. I had a Renesas license some years ago and were not able to work with any other processor. I had an LPT dongle, too. You should get some information from IAR. But if you have the dongle, there should be an IAR version for that?!

    I would suggest contacting the IAR support department, they can help you with getting a version of the IAR tools that corresponds to your dongle, alternatively help you with upgrading your license to a more modern version.

    In addition, you can download the kickstart version of the tools -- it is size limited, but it does not require a license to work.

    Yeah Dennis exactly we are searching for the exact IAR version which can be used to build the project,as we already have the dongle.

    We have already tried with the IAR Embedded Workbench for MSP430 6.10  version,but the project is not opening using this IAR workbench version.If you get some information regarding the same Kindly revert back.
