MSP430F5659 ADC12_A For internal resistance of CH11

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5659

For ADC12A of MSP430F5659, please tell me the respective resistance values of CH11.

I want to know the value of "R" is connected to when set the INCHx = 0Bh.

The information needed to know the current consumption when using the CH11.

In order to obtain this information, we look at the P.724 of the User's Guide (SLAU208N-June 2008-Revised May 2014).

  • This information is indeed not in the datasheet. I think I’ve seen it in a different MSP’s datasheet some time ago, but even if, it is not of too much use then, except for giving a raw estimation.

However, the voltage divider for VCC/2 is only active during the sampling phase of an ongoing conversion. If you keep the sampling time short (e.g. the minimum 4 ADCCLK cycles), it should be negligible. Especially since I don’t think you need to monitor VCC constantly. (it wouldn’t help you to cope with a brownout - use the SVS hardware for this)
