Powering AUXVCC3 for MSP430F67751

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F67751

Hi,

We are using MSP430F67751

We need to power AUXVCC3 with a LDO to power RTC and back up RAM. We have a BIG Li-Ion battery in our system.

We can use that to power AUXVCC3

Kindly suggest a regulator

  • For the RF alarm transmitter we added to usual smoke detectors (where power consumption is very critical), we used the Motorola MC78LC30NTR. It has a very low quiescent current (1.1µA@10mA). It has a small input range (10V max), but >50mA max output and almost doesn’t consume anything when the output current is low.
It is available for different output voltages (3.0, 3.3, 4.0, 5.0) and has only 220mV dropout voltage @10mA (less on lower currents).
We also use this one for our MSP projects, but since there is no 3.6V version, we have an output voltage divider for the feedback, which increases the load (but since the devices are line powered…)
