How to reduce/change drive strength on Alternate Function I/O on MSP4305436A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5436A

Hello,

I am trying to reduce the drive strength on our main system processor, which is the MSP430F5436A in order to help with EMC robustness on our board.

We are setting unused I/O as outputs tied low and also trying to set the drive strength for some of the used alternate function I/O (SPI, UARTs, etc.).

However, in looking at the the MSP4305436A documentation (i.e. user’s guide and datasheet), it does not state what the default drive strength is when you select the alternate function, or if you reset the alternative function. Further, it doesn't state whether or not one can set the drive strength after the alternative function is selected.

Can someone help confirm/verify whether or not the drive strength of alternate I/O on the MSP4305436A processor can be modified?

Thank you,

Terry
