ez-FET Lite - Target List

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC430F5137, MSP430F2272, MSP-FET, MSP430F5438

Hello All!

I'm currently testing the ezFET Lite device and for me it works fine under IAR.

Since i read the supported device list from the manual, the table show me that the CC430F6xx is supported. I make now a test with an CC430F5137 and the IAR brings a popup with "device can not be find or is not supported" but in status window the correct DeviceId CC430F5137 was found.

Does anyone test this ezFET list with the CC Series Chips?

Thanks in advance

  • Hello All!

Still have the same problem, does anyone has an idea about that? or does anyone have tried this, for that µC?

    Thanks in advance
  • CC430F5137 have same SBW / JTAG properties like any other MSP430F5xx device, so don't see any reason for "not supported device" from new eZ-FET Lite. If I remember right, combination of MSPDebug under Linux with eZ-FET Lite and CC430F5137 working just fine.
  • Thanks for the answer.Yes, that's the point, i have tried a MSP430F2272 with ez-FET it works fine.

Then i tried again a CC430F5137 board from olimex and a self made one. Both boards works fine with the MSP-FET UIF but not with the ez-FET Lite.

I think i will order a MSP430F5xx Kit and will try if the x5xx are working.

  • I have tested now an MSP430F5438 at it works fine with an example project.

Still have the problem when i want to connect to an CC430F5137 the CCS brings the message that i cannot find the device.

  • I have found the problem.
The JTAG connection was wrong of my adapter cable.
It was the reason that the 7th and 8th pin where connected internally and at the CC430 hardware in combination with ezFet Lite they where not connected.

    Now it works fine :)
