Hi out there... I'm currently using the TI-Launchpad. I'm using the USCI I2C Interface as I2C slave to communicate with the PC Hardware. Is and if how is it possible to implement a second I2C if on the MSP430G2553. I Plan to use this Chip as an i2c Gateway to collect Sensor Data.

The MSP430G2553 has a single I²C interface implemented in hardware.

If you want to have more, you have to implement the I²C protocol in software.

I2C is a bus, you can have 5-7 sensors on single bus without problems.

I2C communication always start with a 7bit device-id, so the sensors will listen for its ID and only respond if a match.

If you plan to use the G2553 as two separate I2C channels and have it act a gatherer, it will be hard but not impossible.

Implementing I2C master in software is quite easy. I did it for the C64 about 30 years ago. And I did it again 20 years later for the MSP430F1611.
However, if the MSP shall act as I2C slave, I recommend putting this functionality to the hardware I2C :)
