msp430F5529/5521 PUR pin polling after loading application- possible?

Hello mates,

is anyone aware whether the PUR pin status can be read on MSP430F5521/5529 after application was loaded?

Normally the pin is only used to invoke BSL but I'd lie to take advantage of the switch I have installed on that pin during normal operation. Reading its status that is.

If you have USB implemented on board than there is 1k4 resistor between PUR and DP pin. You can play with BSL button when device is not using USB (not connected to PC).

So how do I read its status? Yes I have UsB implemented? Is there a register bit to read ?thanks a bunch

In the MSP430x5xx and MSP430x6xx Family User's Guide SLAU208N the PUR_IN bit in the USBCNF Register in described as:

PUR input value. This bit reflects the input value present on PUR. This bit may be used as an indication to start a USB based boot loading program (USB-BSL). The PUR input logic is powered by VUSB. PUR_IN returns zero when VUSB is zero.
