LIN support on MSP430

But the USCI needs to support the LIN protocol which the F5xxx does.

As I know there is no public source for the protocol driver software, you need to create this yourself.

Leo, just for interest: What is additionally to the normal UART functionality needed to support LIN? I have never used it. I just know that it is based on UART.

For LIN support the USCI must be able to handle the UART protocol but with LSB first (which is mostly possible) and Auto Baud Rate detection (Break and Sync field).

I have used this with FRAM but there the Auto Baud Rate detection needs some software to get it correct working.

I am workingon MSP430F2553 microcontroller.

I am trying to configure UART as  LIN.I have the user guide for The microcontroller and i have set the registers required to operate UART as LIN but still 

i am not able to generate the LIN format.

Is there any example code to set registers or guides to refer.

How do you know (other than 'it doesn't work'? What do you get instead? Did you try looking at the signals with a logic analyzer? What about the required signal levels? (this is a physical thing, not related to code or MSP UART capabilities). Did you properly configure the port pins for UART operation? (from your very rudimentary problem description, this might well be the problem)
