Hi,

Can anybody help to find out the exact part number of PT and CT (Potential transformer and Current transformer) used in Single Phase Energy Meter.

Hi Sajitha,

Unfortunately I believe that on most of our metering designs we use a custom CT so it doesn't really have a part number that you can just order. I think there are other threads out there if you search the forum about CTs for different designs though - you'll have to choose your own for your application.

To provide a little more information about the CT that is used: it has a turns ratio of 2000:1 and it can handle up to 100 Amps.

So it has 50mA output? That's great for a 10 ohm shunt to get 500mV signal to the ADC. The 'usual suspects' have 1A or 5A output and require expensive shunts.
Our CTs use 100A:33mA or 400/600A:66mA With 7.5Ohm shunt. Quite similar.
