MSP430FR5739 Launchpad fixing the security fuse blown issue though BSL

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR5739

I was programming the device through JTAG when something went wrong and the "security fuse" blew on the device. I know that this isn't really a fuse and can be fixed through the BSL so I have been trying to figure out how to reprogram the device through BSL. I have a separate working msp430fr5739 launchpad so I am using that to test programming through the BSL. However I can't seem to make it work correctly. I tried using an old MSP-FET430UIF that was laying around to do this but it was not working properly. Then all of a sudden it seems as if the FET430UIF will not supply power to the msp430 anymore, but it can still receive power through other means leading me to believe the FE430UIF is starting to have issues.

I feel like I am missing a very easy way to do this such as an mspdebug driver or something like that which would make this a lot more simple. Can anyone direct me in a good direction on how to either solve this security fuse blown issue or how to get the BSL working? If I get the BSL working I could fix the fuse issue myself.
