Two bugs in Grace 3.10.0.82 for MSP430FR5959

Hello,

The first bug is in the GUI section of grace and is related to P3.3 in GPIO config section. As you can see on the first image the choices for pull-up/pull-down and interrupt edge choices has swapped places.

The second bug is that there is no code generated for Port 3 and 4 in the PinMux_init.c file as shown in the second image.

  • Hello E.K.,

Thank you for bringing these bugs to our attention. I am currently pulling in Grace experts to look into the mentioned bugs and fix them as soon as possible.

    Regards,
    Ryan
  • E.K.,

Can you please verify that your project is using Grace 3.10.0.82?

Right-click on your project in Project Explorer, and select "Properties" at the bottom of the menu. Then select General->RTSC as shown:

    Regards,

  • Hello,

I found another bug in the Clock System. The check boxes for "Low Power Clock Request" do not enable the clock requests. This is the same version of Grace(image below).

  • E.K.,

    Bugs

3057 - Grace interface for GPIO has some pins with RE and IE swapped on FR594x_584x and FR595x_585x

3058 - CS_disableClockRequest always called in CS_init.c, even if clock requests are enabled

have been submitted.  They will be available in the next Grace release.

For bug 3057, even though the  RE and IE droplists are swapped, the correct init code is generated.

    Bug 3044 - Ports 3 and 4 not initialized for FR59(5|4) and FR58(5|4) devices

was previously reported and resolved, and will be available in the next Grace release. Here's the post:

    https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/415178

I will notify you when the next Grace release date is set, which will probably be in 2 or 3 weeks.

If any of these issues are critical path, please let me know and we can provide you with some updated files to use for the short term.

    Regards,

    Joe
