Hi,this is my first post here.

I order some MSP430F169 IC and also MSP430 Jtag programmer, i didn't work with MSP430 family, I choose MSP430F169 because I want to create a portable ECG device for my student work, also I choose ADS1291 for analog front end part.

My question is were i can start, is there any example code for MSP430 with CCS? (I want to work with CCS because i worked with it for TM4C123 ARM and TIVA ware was very user friendly also i want to use one compiler for 16bit uC,32bit ARM and TI DSP).

Actually I prefer to work with functional coding of peripherals rather than bitwise programming

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for fast reply.

I had this examples but they aren't like TIVA ware example they aren't functional programming they are bitwise programming.

if it doesn't functional programming is there any document that describes registers and example codes? something like "TivaWare™ Peripheral Driver Library User's Guide"

TI has the DriverLib which can be found here:

But I'm not sure if there is support for the (quite old) MSP430F169.

The MSPWare could also be interesting for you, although it isn't exactly what you're looking for:
