I cannot get the MSP_EXP432410P Out of the Box experience to run.

I cannot get the Out of the Box experience to run.  This PC is XP, tried on another PC Win7.  The XDS110 will not connect.  The device mag say:  Ports> XDS110 Class Application/User UART (COM 19) and XDS110 Class Aux.  The section named Texas Instruments Debug Probe has two "!", both say XDS110 (02.02.02.00) with CMSIS-DAP.

When I go to dev.ti.com and try the download ... I get the message "Unexpected Error"

Please tell me how to have an "Out of Box Experience" other than pure frustration.  How do I get the TI debugger to instal?

  • Nick,

The “!” next to the name inside device manager makes me think that he does not have the drivers installed properly.

    A few suggestions & questions:

    -          @ dev.ti.com/tirex/, when running the OOBE GUI, does it prompt you to install the drivers?

    • If not, try importing an MSP432 example into the CCS Cloud, when running/debugging does it prompt you to install the drivers?

    -          Have you installed CCS? Make sure TI emulators components are installed

    -          If you don’t use CCS, here is the download page for TI emulation pack http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/XDS_Emulation_Software_Package

    Regards,

    JH
